Not only does it ensure better makeup application, but it also prevents bacteria build-up and breakouts. But with constant use, makeup brushes can get dirty and clogged with product residue.

But don't worry, we've got you covered with our tips on How to Clean Makeup Brushes at Home. First, gather all your dirty brushes and lay them out on a clean towel. Mix warm water with a gentle soap or brush cleanser in a bowl.

Next, swirl your brushes in the water and gently massage the bristles with your fingers. Rinse them thoroughly and repeat until the water runs clear. Avoid getting water on the handles as it can loosen the glue and cause bristle shedding.

After rinsing, reshape the bristles and lay the brushes flat on the towel to dry. Avoid standing them upright as water can seep into the ferrule and damage the brush. Once dry, your brushes will be good as new and ready for your next makeup application!
